Research participants were nurses at a mid-scale hospital in City S and the actions used were study groups and workshops. Data was collected through participant observation, interviews and a questionnaire survey. Analysis involved recording changes in the thoughts and conduct of nurses regarding "eating assistance." Results revealed that through the actions of four study groups with nurses involved in nursing research, two in-hospital training sessions throughout the hospital and a research report meeting, the changes of "recognizing anew of meal support," "introspection regarding daily life care," "searching for ways to revise care" and "the beginnings of team cooperation" became apparent.
