A 88-year-old male underwent operation with the diagnosis of rectal carcinoma (adenocarcinoma) in 1995. Later, pulmonary, liver and gingival metastases appeared. The mass of the gingival metastasis was excised and histologically diagnosed as adenocarcinoma. The mass of the gingival metastasis was excised and histologically diagnosed as adenocarcinoma. The patient died two years after the initial operation. At autopsy, metastatic lesions were determined in the lung liver, pancreas, adrenal gland, thyroid gland, and bone marrow. No local recurrence of the rectal carcinoma and no residual carcinoma cells gingiva were observed. We suggest that respiratory insufficiency arising from the metastatic carcinoma, severe congestion and edema of the lungs, and pleural effusion is the cause of death.}, pages = {295--299}, title = {<臨床>口腔内転移が認められた直腸癌の1剖検例}, volume = {16}, year = {1997} }
