The patient was a 56-year-old female who had nonconformance of the complete denture and protrusion of the lower jaw. Projection of mental region in the facial profile and extreme atrophy of the mandible were noticed. A diagnosis of alveolar ridge atrophy and mandibular prognathism was made. The patient was treated by vestibuloplasty by a secondary epithelization procedure and genioplasty under general anesthesia. In addition, the dentures were newly produced.
