Palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP) is the disease which is mainly treated at the department of dermatology. The characteristic symptoms of PPP are the localized erythema accompanied by the scaling lesion on the fingers or the heel and the multiple aseptic pustules. The pathogenesis of PPP rerates to the immune mechanism. It was reported that the oral foci of the infection would be the one of the cause of PPP.
We present one case of PPP patient, whose symptom has improved after surgically removing of the oral foci and the strict oral hygiene management, and suggest the importance of the infection control of the oral tissue. |
