| 内容記述 | The number of foreign healthcare professionals working in Japan is increasing rapidly. This paper explores the communication challenges and opportunities faced by non-Japanese healthcare workers in the Japanese healthcare sector. Key challenges include language barriers, differences in communication styles, and the hierarchical structure of Japanese workplaces. Non-Japanese workers can struggle with medical terminology and interpreting indirect communication, while Japanese colleagues may hesitate to offer feedback due to cultural norms. Moreover, intercultural differences among non-Japanese workers from various countries further complicate communication. Despite these challenges, fostering open lines of communication and addressing cultural gaps presents an opportunity to boost collaboration and inclusion within Japan’s healthcare workforce and improve patient care. | |||||||
