| 内容記述 | Changes of postpharyngeal soft tissue following application of a combination of chin cap and maxillary protraction appliances were studied in a comparison between lateral cephalograms of before and after treatment. Twenty three patients were selected for this study. Postpharyngeal area was divided into the pharynx and airway, and each area was measured by distance and area. 1. There was a tendency seen in which after protraction of the maxilla, the airway became wider. 2. The postpharyngeal changes showed a slight correlation with the hard tissue changes. 3. The volume of the airway tend to correlate with T3-PNS, O-Q. | |||||
