| 内容記述 | This report describes a case of mandibular prognathism with edentulous jaw. The patient was a 56-year-old female who had nonconformance of the complete denture and protrusion of the lower jaw. Projection of mental region in the facial profile and extreme atrophy of the mandible were noticed. A diagnosis of alveolar ridge atrophy and mandibular prognathism was made. The patient was treated by vestibuloplasty by a secondary epithelization procedure and genioplasty under general anesthesia. In addition, the dentures were newly produced. During the follow-up period of one and half years stability of the denture and the facial profile has been satisfactory. | |||||
