| 内容記述 | This paper reviews trials of combined chemotherapy and radiotherapy (with or without surgery) of head and neck cancer. The trials allow the following conclusions : 1 Adjuvant chemotherapy reduced distant metastasis, but did not improve survival. 2 Pilots trials of neoadjuvant chemotherapy showed a high tumor response rate, but did not improve survival in the long term. 3 Neoadjuvant chemotherapy increased an organ preservation rates in some randomized trials. 4 This possible to improve local control and survival by concomitant chemotherapy although toxicity makes this procedure debatable. | |||||
